John Kennedy has lived in the 3rd Ward for 35 years

I was born in Evanston, the oldest of nine children. I raised my family in Evanston; all three of my kids attended Evanston public schools and graduated from ETHS.

I graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in Physics. After getting my MBA at Kellogg, I became a Tech Executive and Entrepreneur, successfully starting three tech startups, including one pioneering Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database business.

I believe strongly in service to the community and volunteering my time, energy and money.

  • President, Evanston Youth Job Center and a Board Member for more than 40 years

  • Founder, Friends of the Civic Center

  • Board member, Evanston Community LakeHouse and Gardens

  • Founder, Sails4Haiti, a donation drive to provide disaster relief for Haitian victims of hurricane “Matthew”

  • Volunteer, A Just Harvest Food Depository

As your Council representative, I will be accessible and responsive to your needs. I will ask for your views and help on major issues. I will work hard to win and keep your support.

Thanks for all the support from my neighbors and friends.

Volunteer to Help

Join the campaign team! We need help canvassing the Ward, knocking on doors, passing out flyers, talking to neighbors.

Host a Coffee

The best way to have a thoughtful conversation about the issues is with neighbors over coffee.

Post a Yard Sign

Tell people you feel the same way as I do about bringing basic common sense to the City’s government by putting a sign in your front yard. Help us get the message out!
